The Book Law 25542 Is Repealed
Article 60 of the Bill repeals the Book Law 25542.

The Book Law provides that every publisher, importer, or representative of books must establish a uniform price for sale to the public or final consumer of the books it publishes or imports, except for the exceptions mentioned in Section 6 of the Book Law. Likewise, the Book Law foresees how to set prices in case of editorial offers and discounts for sale to the public. In the event of non-compliance, the Book Law provides economic sanctions.
The Book Law will be repealed upon the approval of the new Bill mentioned above. As a consequence, this will permit the free imposition of prices for the sale of books.
