SEDI Regime Repealed

Joint General Resolution 56511/2025—issued jointly by the Argentine Tax Authority (ARCA) and the Secretariat of Industry and published in the Official Gazette on February 25, 2025—repeals all regulations related to the Import Statistical System (SEDI).

This system, which was a continuation of the SIMI and SIRA regimes, required importers to compulsorily file sworn statements with the information on prospective imports to carry out said imports. Now, importers may submit their definitive import declarations without having to indicate a SEDI declaration number.

Ongoing SEDI declarations will be invalidated when the repeal comes into effect on February 26, 2025.
