New Promotion and Incentive Regime for the Wine Industry

Law No. 15404 was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Buenos Aires on January 9,^, 2023, creating the Promotion and Incentive Regime for the wine industry and commerce in the province.

The Law determines:

• that the purpose of the regime is to protect and improve the social, economic, productive, environmental, and cultural sustainability of the wine industry in the province;

• that the Executive Branch will appoint the Law´s enforcement authority;

• the creation of a Provincial Registry of Vineyards and Wineries producing wines and spirits of vinic origin in the province within the scope of the Law´s enforcement authority;

• the creation of the mark "VINO BUENOS AIRES" to promote the wine industry in the province;

• that the Executive Branch may, among other things, enter into agreements, determine incentives, provide logistical aid and technical and economic assistance to the producers, carry out information campaigns, set up a website managed by the enforcement authority with updated information and photographs of the vineyards and wineries.
