Export Duties’ Rates Reduced

Article 1 of Decree 38/2025 (published in the Official Gazette on January 27, 2025) exempts many groups of goods from export duties—by reducing the rate to zero—permanently. Groups of goods exempted include leather, textiles, modular constructions, sugar, and spirits.

Article 2 of the Decree sets a temporary reduction on export duty rates for listed agricultural products, given that the export permits or export commitments (declared through Sworn Statements of Outbound Sales or DJVE) are declared until June 30, 2025. Export commitments are also required to repatriate at least 95% of the proceeds of the sale up to 15 business days after the sworn statement was submitted.

The new export duty rates are already in force.
