Subsidies Removal: ENARGAS Announces a Public Hearing to Move Forward with the Adjustment of Natural Gas Tariffs
Within the framework of the renegotiation process of natural gas tariffs launched in December 2019, ENARGAS today published in the Official Gazette the call for a public hearing to move forward with this process.

The public hearing will be held on January 8, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. virtually. It will submit for public consideration, among other matters: (i) a new temporary adjustment of natural gas transportation and distribution tariffs and an update scheme; (ii) the transfer of the natural gas price to distribution tariffs; and (iii) matters concerning tariffs and capacity allocation related to the reversion of the Northern Gas Pipeline (Gasoducto Norte).
To participate in the public hearing as a speaker it is required to register in the ENARGAS Speakers' Registry until 11:59 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Other interested parties will be able to watch the hearing online through streaming.
The tariff renegotiation was initiated in the early days of the administration of former President Alberto Fernandez, but notwithstanding certain temporary adjustments, it could not be implemented. In this context, the new Administration faces important challenges regarding the compatibility of tariffs with the macroeconomic objectives recently announced by the Minister of Economy. All these matters will be considered in the framework of the public hearing.
