Antidumping Proceedings. Steel Wheels from China

Through Resolution 1178/2024, the Ministry of Economy opened a sunset review due to the expiration of the term of the antidumping measures on exports from China to Argentina of “Steel wheels, of a nominal diameter of 444.5 mm (17.5“) or more, but not exceeding 622.33 mm (24.5”) and of a nominal width of 152.4 mm (6") or more, of the type used on buses, trucks, trailers and semi-trailers.”

Resolution 1444/2019 of the former Ministry of Production and Labor had established an anti-dumping duty of 41.78 % for a term of five years for the exports to Argentina of the relevant product.

The goods involved are classified under Mercosur Customs Tariff Codes (NCM) 8708.70.90 and 8716.90.90.

It was the company DISTRIBUIDORA COMERSUR SA that requested the opening of the sunset review.

So far, authorities have determined a dumping recurrency margin of 29.59%, considering exports to Peru as a third market.

The Resolution established that the sunset review will be carried out without applying antidumping measures.
