NIC Argentina appoints new General Director

By means of Decree 75/2016 Julián Dunayevich was appointed new General Director of NIC Argentina, agency in charge of the administration of the Domain .AR.

Julián Dunayevich has a BA in Computer Science, he graduated from Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales of University of Buenos Aires University and he was a General Coordinator of the “University Interconnection Net” Project during the 90s.

Moreover, and as reflected through www.nic.ar, during the 80s he was one of the pioneers regarding the first Internet connections in Argentina and he contributed to the development of Internet in the region, co-founding LACNIC with some others.

Last, he was General Counselor for the City of Buenos Aires in connection with the Strategic Plan of e-Government and Technology Director for the government educational website Educ.ar.
