General Resolution 6/2024 of the Public Registry of the City of Buenos Aires (IGJ) was published in the Official Gazette on February 26, 2024, suspending the entry into force of General Resolution IGJ 15/2023.

General Resolution 6/2024 of the Public Registry of the City of Buenos Aires (IGJ) was published in the Official Gazette on February 26, 2024, suspending the entry into force of General Resolution IGJ 15/2023. Resolution 15/2023 had established a new modality to submit digitized financial statements and related documents for companies not included in article 299 of the General Companies Law 19550, through the IGJ's website. The digitized submission was to be implemented as from March 1, 2024.
The aim of the previous resolution was to improve the efficiency of administrative processes, offering companies a more agile and convenient experience to meet their obligations. However, the new resolution also stated that the system does not yet have the appropriate and necessary elements to implement the new mechanism. Therefore, it is necessary to defer its entry into force until the systems and procedures that allow the effective application of the measure are in place.
According to the new regulation, companies not included in article 299 of the General Companies Law must continue filing their financial statements through the "SITIGJ" application, as required by the regulations prior to the amendment the General Resolution 15/2023 introduced.
