The National Government will delete the Databases from CuidAr App
The National Government ordered the App CuidAr and its databases with information on COVID-19 to be deleted.

On March 27, 2023, the Undersecretariat of Services and Digital Argentina under the scope of the Secretary for Public Innovation issued Disposition No. 2/2023 ordering the destruction of the CuidAr app, created during the COVID-2019 pandemics, and the deletion of its databases, on the grounds of there being no reasons to extend their use.
Consequently, the Undersecretariat also ordered -before the National Directorate of Personal Data Protection- to remove twelve databases in the CuidAr App, thus complying with the principle of storage limitation.
According to this principle, personal data must be deleted when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, and in the absence of legal provisions enabling to keep them for longer periods. The Disposition ordering the destruction and deletion of the databases does not refer to the existence of a certification process for destroying the personal data in such databases.
On the other hand, the Undersecretariat complied with the rules applicable to the creation, modification, and deletion of public databases by publishing the Disposition in the Official Gazette.
