Unified Disability Certificate Without Expiration
The Argentine Agency on Disability approved the criteria for issuing the Certificate.

Through Resolution 1624/2024 of August 12, 2024, the Argentine Agency on Disability established the criteria for issuing the Single Certificate of Disability (CUD) without expiration, in accordance with the provisions of Law 27711.
The criteria are:
1- previous renewals: those who, at the time of assessment, have previously received two disability certificates, those whose profile of functioning and impact on daily life remains constant over time (with emphasis on the capacity qualifier of the “Activity and Participation” component of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health),
2- old age: persons who, at the time of assessment, are over 60 years of age and maintain their bodily structures and functions in constant condition for at least 5 years,
3- need for permanent equipment: persons who, at the time of the assessment, require permanent use of equipment and/or to maintain vital functions.
The regulation instructs the Directorate of Modernization and Informatics (DMEI) to take the necessary measures to incorporate the phrase “without expiration according to Law No. 27,711” in the loading system of the Argentine Registry of Persons with Disabilities.
Likewise, the DMEI must update the strategy of online services and procedures, which includes incorporating documentation, digitalizing signatures in the system, and the possibility of reprinting the last CUD valid copy in case of destruction or loss.
Finally, the regulation orders the jurisdictional governments to update the current practices in the field of disability certification, adapting them to the bases established in the resolution.
