Sofía Cimmarusti

Sofía Cimmarusti joined Marval O’Farrell Mairal in 2021 and is currently a senior associate in its Public Law and Compliance department.

Her practice focuses on public procurement and transactions with government entities, as well as disputes against the State —at national and provincial level — in both administrative and judicial proceedings. She also provides comprehensive advice on compliance matters, public ethics, anti-corruption, integrity policies, and internal investigations, ensuring regulatory compliance in complex operations.

Before joining the firm, she worked at Allende & Brea law firm for 3 years. Prior to that, Sofía worked as legal advisor to the Undersecretary of Financial Regulatory Affairs of the Ministry of Treasury of the Argentine Republic, where she participated in the drafting of regulatory legislation related to public-private partnerships (PPP). She has also participated in the designing and structuring of the different PPP projects.

She graduated Law school in 2013 at Universidad Austral in Argentina. In 2018 she completed a Master’s degree in Administrative Law and in 2021 a Constitutional Procedural Law Degree, both at the same university. In 2011, she participated in an exchange program in the Università Carlo Cattaneo – LUIC (Castellanza, Lombardía, Italy). She is currently pursuing the International Certification in Ethics and Compliance offered by the Argentine Association of Ethics and Compliance in association with the University of CEMA.

She is a member of the City of Buenos Aires Bar Association, the Argentina Association of Administrative Law and the Argentine Association of Tax Studies.

Legal 500 included her as a Rising Start (2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024) in Public Law.
