Sebastian M. Iribarne

Sebastián M. Iribarne has been a partner since 1997, having joined the firm in 1991.

A specialist in banking, finance and corporate law, his practice area is bank financing, mergers and acquisitions.

Sebastián has over 30 years of extensive experience in general corporate law and in M&A transactions in many industries such as banking, electricity, broadcasting, and real estate (including transactions for environmental conservation purposes).

He also coordinates the firm’s electricity practice group. He has significant experience in these matters, having participated in major privatization processes and other transactions in the sector over the years. He was a member of the “International Attorney Program” of the Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy law firm in New York, 1995 -1996.

With a law degree from the Universidad Católica Argentina in 1990, Sebastián went on to earn an LLM at Columbia University, New York in 1995. He has participated in various seminars on the legal framework of the electricity sector and mergers and acquisitions.

Sebastián was formerly Chair of the Board of Lex Mundi, the world’s leading association of independent law firms.

He is also a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association.
