Martin Chajchir joined Marval O'Farrell Mairal in 2002 and became a partner in 2013. He specializes in Intellectual Property litigation, with a focus on trademarks, domain names, and industrial models and designs.
His areas of practice include IP enforcement and anticounterfeiting ─with broad experience in preliminary injunctions and attachment and seizure measures─, general IP litigation, domain name recovery, and out-of-court claims. He represents clients in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the PTO and the Federal Courts. Additionally, he has extensive experience in pre-trial mediation proceedings, conducting negotiations and drafting settlement agreements.
Martin graduated from the Universidad de Belgrano Law School in 2000, completed post-graduate courses on Patent Law and IP Licensing at the Universidad Austral, and later became a certified IP agent.
He participates actively in international IP conferences and lectures in Argentina and abroad, addressing topics such as IP enforcement, litigation, and mediation. He also writes articles for law journals and specialized publications, and regularly contributes with the INTA Bulletin.
Martin is a member of the Colegio Público de Abogados de la Capital Federal [Buenos Aires Bar Association], the Asociación Argentina de Agentes de la Propiedad Industrial [Argentine IP Agents Association], the Association Internationale pour la Protéction de la Propriété Intellectuelle (AIPPI), and the International Trademark Association (INTA).
