Mario A. Carregal

Dr. Carregal joined Marval, O'Farrell & Mairal in 1997 as a partner and member of the Board of Directors; he is of counsuel since August 2003. An expert in banking and financial law, his professional practice consists principally in advising on general financial and commercial issues, project financing, mergers, acquisitions and trusts, including real estate and investment trusts.

He was a founding partner of the firm Carregal & Funes de Rioja (1976 - 1997) and acted as a legal advisor to national and international businesses and financial entities regarding commercial and fiduciary activities and debt and share issues.

He is a post-graduate professor of business law at the Austral University of Buenos Aires. He has taught in courses and has lectured in conferences on trust and banking and financial law both at home and abroad. He is the author of various articles published in national and international specialist magazines and books.

He is currently a member of the Business Law Commission of the Colegio de Abogados de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires and is First Vice-President of the Comité Latinoamericano del Fideicomiso of the Federación Latinoamericana de Bancos, Santa Fe, Bogota.
