Maria Victoria Feito Torrez joined Marval in 2022, as a Legal English Language specialist in the Writing Center. Her work there involves reviewing and improving the technical-language aspects of texts and assessing the Firm’s lawyers on linguistics-based argumentation. She is a member of Marval’s Pro Bono Communication Subcommittee since 2023, and she actively participates in Pro Bono matters.

Victoria graduated as a Sworn Translator (EN-SP) from the National University of La Plata in 2012. In 2020, she graduated as Lawyer from the Law School of the same university, and in 2021 she received her university diploma of Notary Public, also from the National University of La Plata. Victoria has completed a post-graduate certification in Legal English for Human Rights and International Instruments from the Catholic University of Cuyo and currently studies a Master’s in General Theory of Law and Argumentation at the University of Salamanca.

Before joining Marval, Victoria worked extensively on Human Rights research. She has also worked as lawyer and translator in IP Law, and as technical writer in Class Action Law. She has written articles and book chapters on Legal English and argumentation and on Human Rights, and she often speaks at conferences and events specialized in these topics.

Currently, Victoria works as an Adjunct Professor of Introduction to Law (General Theory of Law) at the University of La Plata, where she teaches legal language, legal reasoning and argumentation, and Philosophy of Law. She is the Coordinator of the Legal English Committee at the La Plata Association of Sworn Translators, a member of the Philosophy of Law Institute at the La Plata Bar Association, and an active member of different Human Rights NGOs. Victoria is a member of the Association of Sworn Translators of the Province of Buenos Aires, the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires, and the Board of Directors of Plain Language Association International.
