His professional practice is also focused on local and international financial and commercial transactions including M&A, bilateral and syndicated loans, debt restructuring, structuring of trusts, real estate, foreign exchange markets, IPO and public and private debt issues. His work includes a wide range of business contracts, advising major companies, banks and multilateral credit agencies in more than 100 transactions.

From 2002 to 2006 Juan assisted Telecom Argentina group, comprising 4 companies in 2 countries, in its USD 4 billion debt restructuring, the largest cross-border insolvency case in Argentina’s history. He has also worked in several M&A transactions, including the sale of the wind energy projects Isolux Corsán, the assets of the meat and wheat flour divisions of Cargill, Páginas Amarillas and the purchase of Cubecorp. The world leading guide in legal matters, Chambers & Partners; International Financial Law Review (IFLR 1000); PLC Practical Law Company, International Law Office (ILO) and the Argentine magazine Apertura have all recognized Diehl Moreno for several years as a “leading lawyer” in his fields of practice in the Argentine legal sector. In 2019, he was recognized as recommended lawyer in the FinTech category by Who’s Who Legal, and in 2020, as excellent lawyer in FinTech by Leaders League. He was recognized by "ILO Client Choice Award" as the best Argentine lawyer in the area of Banking in 2016 and 2018, and in the area of Asset Finance in 2017.

Before joining the firm, he worked for the law firm Carregal & Funes de Rioja (1989-1997), and at Sidley Austin, New York, USA as foreign associate (2000-2001).
