Iris Quadrio joined Marval O'Farrell Mairal in 1988 and has been a partner since 1998, specializing in the area of Intellectual Property, with extensive experience in advising domestic and foreign clients, principally on trademark and trade dress issues, including IP rights clearance, registration and management of IP portfolios and trademark opposition proceedings.
Ms. Quadrio graduated as a lawyer in 1987 from Universidad Católica Argentina and has attended postgraduate courses on IP Law at Harvard University and Universidad de Salamanca. She is a qualified member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association and of the Argentine Association of IP Attorneys as well as of other IP groups including INTA, ASIPI (Interamerican Association of IP), AIPPI (Association pour la Protection de la Proprieté Industrielle), ITMA (Institute of Trademark Attorneys), IPO (Intellectual Property Owners), APRAM (Association des Practiciens du Droit des Marques et des Modéles) and PTMG (Pharmaceutical Trademarks Group).
She was an assistant professor in Intellectual Property law at the Law School of Universidad Católica Argentina from 1989 to 2002. She has also participated as a speaker in numerous conferences and published articles in legal magazines and journals specialized in IP in Argentina and in other countries.
She was a member of the Board of Directors of the International Trademark Association (INTA) for the term 2006-2008, having received the 2004 and 2009 Volunteer Service Awards for the Advancement of Committee Objectives of such Association.
