Enrique V. Veramendi joined Marval O’Farrell Mairal in 2002 and is a partner of the Public & Administrative Law Department. He specializes in administrative and constitutional law, economic regulation, infrastructure and government contracts, and disputes with government agencies.

Enrique has been consistently recognized as a leading lawyer in his fields of practice by Chambers & Partners Latin America, Legal 500 and Latin Lawyer, among other publications.

He advises and represents both local and foreign clients in the areas of infrastructure, energy and public utilities, as well as in other regulated industries (agribusiness, pharmaceutical companies, and banks). He regularly participates in procurement proceedings and deals with the regulatory aspects of major transactions. He has taken part in significant investment projects, renegotiations of administrative contracts, and financing operations.

Enrique also has extensive experience in constitutional and regulatory litigation; and he regularly intervenes in investment disputes and commercial arbitration.

He graduated with honors (highest rank in his class) from the University of Buenos Aires with a degree in Law in 2001.

In 2006, he completed a Master's Degree in Administrative Law from Universidad Austral and in 2008 he obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from New York University as a Hauser Global Scholar.

At present, he is a lecturer in graduate courses at the University of Buenos Aires and Catholic University of Buenos Aires, where he teaches Comparative Administrative Law.

Enrique has coauthored a landmark book on Presidential Decrees and made several contributions in several books in his areas of specialization. He has also published a number of papers and articles in different journals and newsletters.

He has been a speaker at local and international conferences and regularly participates in initiatives for legislative and regulatory reforms at both the federal and provincial level.

He is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association and the association of lawyers of the City of Buenos Aires.
