Diego is a partner in the IP, IT & privacy practice group. He is a technology expert, with 16 years’ experience in a wide range of expertise which includes privacy & data protection, privacy compliance, privacy in internal investigations and at the workplace, RegTech (including Fintech, Insurtech and HealthTech), software licensing, IT agreements, IT compliance, cyber security, and criminal law in connection with technology. He regularly advises clients on IT and privacy-related matters, and also IP and IT in M&A transactions. He has extensive experience advising clients on IP matters, including litigation, giving the firm the unmatched capability of providing knowledgeable advice on IP and IT under the same person. He is a former foreign associate in the IT & Privacy group at Foley & Lardner, Chicago.
Diego is a member of the Board of Directors of ITechLaw (and vice-chair of the Program Committee for the Americas and Chair of the Latin America Committee). He is also Co-Chair of the IAPP’s Argentine Chapter, member of the Internet Committee of INTA, member of the Technology Committee of IBA.
Diego is the President of the Privacy & M&A Committee of the Latin America Privacy Association (ALAP) and Editorial Board Member of the Global Privacy Law Review. Diego is a frequent speaker in international conferences on IT & Privacy issues.
Moreover, in his role as Board member of ITechLaw he is responsible for organizing the ITechLaw Cyberspace Camps in Latin America (currently organizing the 6th annual events). Furthermore, in his role of co-chair of the Argentina Chapter of IAPP, he regularly organizes local meetings to discuss hot topics in privacy and data protection.
Diego is a professor on the Privacy & Data Protection Legal Education Executive Program at Universidad Di Tella. He is also a guest professor at The John Marshall Law School, Chicago (United States) in its online course on Global Privacy.
Diego is listed in Chambers for TMT, Legal500 as next generation partner, Who’s Who Legal Data. He is the only Argentine lawyer recognized as Thought Leader Data 2020 and Thought Leader Global Elite 2019 and 2020.
