Marval advised Petronas on the sale of its upstream operations in Argentina to Vista Energy
Marval O'Farrell Mairal advised PETRONAS Carigali Canada B.V. and PETRONAS Carigali International E&P B.V. (PETRONAS) on the sale of PETRONAS E&P Argentina S.A. (PEPASA) to Vista Energy, S.A.B. de C.V. (Vista) and Vista Argentina S.A.U. PEPASA.
PEPASA owns 50% of the concession in the La Amarga Chica area, Vaca Muerta's second-largest shale oil field in terms of production. YPF S.A. owns the remaining 50%. The transaction that closed on April 15 involved 100% of PEPASA's shares for an approximate amount of 1,500 million dollars.
