New Coronavirus COVID-19 Dossier
Marval O’Farrell Mairal has created this dossier to bring together in one document the main regulations on the health emergency decreed by different public authorities and our professionals’ analysis on their effects on legal relations and the different legal practice areas.
Marval O’Farrell Mairal has prepared this special dossier with the aim of reflecting the legal situation as of the day of its publication and summarizing the most important regulations issued by public authorities in relation to the health emergency. Added to this is the analysis of our professionals on its effects in different areas.
In the context of the declaration by the World Health Organization of the COVID-19 pandemic, Decree (the “DNU”, after its acronym in Spanish) 297/2020 ordered preventive and mandatory social isolation for all people living in the country or in it temporarily.
This isolation, originally planned to last until March 31, 2020, has been successively extended by various regulations (DNUs 325/2020 and 355/2020) up to and including April 26, although it may be further extended for as long as the Argentine Executive considers necessary in view of the epidemiological situation.
These DNUs and their effects are complemented by and must be analyzed in the light of a large number of other regulations issued by the various public authorities.
After the closure of this issue, new regulations were published in the Official Gazette which are not yet included here. Given the changing nature of the situation, we suggest that you consult the exact status of the applicable regulations before making any decisions.
